Solar Silver – brooch 03

Silver through which solar energy flowed for twenty years.

This unique piece of jewellery was made from silver reclaimed from decommissioned photovoltaic panels—material that helped transform sunlight into electricity for two decades.

A single gram of silver used in a solar panel contributes, over 20 years, to generating enough electricity to possibly power an electric car for approximately 3,200 kilometres. 

Once a panel reaches the end of its useful life, that usually means the end for the silver too. However, with this collection, the silver's story doesn't end there... It was reclaimed, worked by Klára's own hands, and reshaped together with exotic wood into a single one-of-a-kind piece of jewellery.

Material that carried the Sun's energy for many years becomes a personal object. Now its next life begins. And you will be the one to give it energy.
